Do you take insurance?

ACCEPTING THE FOLLOWING INSURANCE:

Aside from the above, I am an out-of-network provider and currently accept private pay (Check, Cash, Credit Card). I provide each client a monthly super bill for insurance reimbursement.

Prior to our appointment, please contact your insurance member services to ask about your behavioral health out-of-network coverage.

For Parents

This is my child's first time seeing a therapist. What should we expect for our first appointment?

First and foremost, I want to acknowledge what an important first step you and your child are taking by coming in for the initial appointment! It is certainly the first big hurdle to overcome, and you and your child should be proud to take such a first brave step forward.

During the two-hour initial appointment, we will meet to cover informed consent, confidentialiy, and other paperwork. I will also conduct an intake assessment and determine whether this is the appropriate place for your child to receive treatment. I will be asking you and your child (separately) questions about what brings you in to the clinic, ongoing symptoms, relevant client history, and current overall functioning.

On our second appointment, we will meet to discuss the initial assessment findings, and depending on the intake results, determine treatment goals and schedule, or refer your child to a more appropriate treatment service.

Are parents involved in the therapy process?

Absolutely. I am a firm believer that treatment is more effective whenever parents show optimal motivation and involvement in their child's treatment. Depending on the case and whenever possible, I will meet with the parent for the first 10 minutes to check in during each therapy session, and the rest of the appointment will be with the child. When appropriate, joint parent-child sessions will be held.

How long can my child expect to be in therapy?

It is different for each client that I see and it depends on the presenting issues. Your child can expect to see me for 15-20 weeks at minimum.
